Why should I apply for Professional Membership?
The main aim of the Professional Quality Assurance Program (PQAP) process is to identify whether the service provider can demonstrate (to the satisfaction of the evaluators) that they have achieved all the competencies necessary within their specialty to apply professional knowledge to bring about a significant positive change in elite performance. They must also demonstrate that they can work as an independent autonomous practitioner, within an ethical framework.
Acceptance onto the Institute Professional Quality Assurance Program (PQAP) register is not a guarantee of funding or employment.
How do I apply?
The Application Form and Guidelines for the Institute Professional Quality Assurance Program (PQAP) are available to download below. Applications for Professional Membership of Sport Ireland Institute will be considered two times per year. The deadlines for applications are 01st March and 01st September.

2. Maintained and advanced their level of knowledge in all appropriate areas, through CPD and
a. kept an up to date and accurate record of all relevant CPD
b. demonstrated that CPD activities are a mixture of learning activities that are relevant to current or future practice (see attached examples);

Once the accreditation is more than 1 year expired the individual will be required to reapply though the initial accreditation application process.
All current professional members will be contacted prior to their membership expiring and forwarded all the relevant documents and guidelines required for re-accreditation.
