Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is provided to help athletes to meet other expenses related to international competition and training costs not otherwise covered by the Carding Scheme or through the National Governing Body's High Performance Programme.

Sport Science and Medical Services

On behalf of the Irish Sports Council, the Irish Institute of Sport provides a range of services that can positively impact on performance. There are a number of areas in which the Institute works closely with carded athletes, their coaches and NGBs to enhance their performance environment. These include sports science and medical support, education support, career development, lifestyle and personal planning support services.
